POSITION DETAILS: 

River Valley Ranch Golf Course is an acclaimed 187-acre championship golf course located in the Crystal River Valley near Aspen, Colorado. The course is a destination where serious golf, elevated dining, and a vibrant social experience all meet.   
 
RVR is hiring an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Manager to join our team! 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with business and HR leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies, policies and programs in alignment with business objectives 

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legislative, enterprise and local business requirements and policies with relation to Human Resources and Payroll 

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and processing of payroll for hourly, salaried and tipped employees, including verifying employee data, hours worked, and leave balances. 

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities 

  • Respond to employee questions and requests for information  

  • Maintain and enter employee garnishments and tax levies 

  • Create and maintain payroll policies and procedures guide for the organization. Coordinate with the Finance Department on policies and procedures to improve payroll functions. 

  • Maintain payroll information by data collection, calculation, and entry. 

  • Stays informed of key dates and important deadlines 

  • Prepare various payroll reports to support financial projections, audits, HR reviews, and compliance issues. 

  • Furnishes and files tax forms to employees and with the IRS 

  • Support the annual salary review process, working closely with managers to ensure accurate and equitable salary adjustments 

  • Handle employee complaints and investigations, ensuring prompt resolution and adherence to company policies and procedures 

  • Manage and develop a team of operational professionals, providing coaching, feedback and opportunities for growth and development 

  • Conduct training to help managers streamline payroll related processes. 

  • Participate as a member of the HR team to provide insights and drive enterprise-wide human resources objectives, initiatives and projects 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at a Human Resources Manager level or above 

  • Experience specifically in the Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or Restaurant industries preferred 

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Hospitality Management or related field preferred 

  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations required 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required 

  • Proficiency in verbal Spanish language strong preferred
